If music be the food of love…
First stop on the “Kaleidoscope Night Trail – Spring Tour 2016” is in the Garden of Ireland, the beautiful Ashford, Co. Wicklow.
Kaleidoscope Night will be in association with Alchemy Music Series for a love inspired concert that takes place in Nuns Cross Church, Ashford.

Artists include The Stickleback singers – a vocal group especially formed for Kaleidoscope in Jan 2014 – Baroque-Trad fusion with Sonamus emsemble, jazz guitarist Mike Nielson, cellist Annette Cleary and guitarist Eamon Sweeney.

Stickleback singers

Stickleback singers

A vocal group especially formed for Kaleidoscope featuring, Elizabeth Hilliard – Soprano, Sarsh Busfield – soprano and Paul McGough -Bass. This wonderful vocal ensemble formed especially for Kaleidoscope Night and performed for the first time in January 2014.


Sonamus

An interesting, talented ensemble where baroque style meets traditional Irish music.

Mike Neilsen

Born in Sligo his guitar studires at the age of four .Performing on acoustic and electric guitars, he has worked with Kenny Wheeler, Larry Coryell, Kenny Werner, Jason Moran, Simon Nabatov, Eric Revis, Joe Lovano and Dave Liebman, with whom he toured Europe in 2001, New Zealand/Australia in 2004 and has recorded two albums. He has also performed with the Crash Ensemble and featured as a soloist with the RTE Concert Orchestra.

Nielsen is currently Director of Jazz Performance at the Dublin Institute of Technology Conservatory of Music and Drama.

The ensemble has performed world-wide in prestigious venues such as St Martin-in-the-Fields, Berliner Philharmonie, Palazzo del Quirinale Rome, Carnegie Hall and the Opera House Tel-Aviv and has won numerous international prizes, taking first prize at competitions in Munich, Rome and London.


Eamon Sweeney
